Immediate Postpartum and Post Abortion Long Acting Reversible Contraception in Referral Level Facility

Background: Despite the advances in contraceptive technologies, still unintended pregnancies are adding to global health issues. The placement of a device, such as an intrauterine device (IUD) or implant, immediately after childbirth is termed long-acting reversible contraceptives LARC. Study design: It retrospective study conducted at Lady Willingdon Hospital Lahore and Divisional Headquarters Teaching Mirpur, Azad Kashmir for duration six months from April 2022 September 2022. Material Methods: was approved by ethical board committee hospital. on 102 patients that visited tertiary care center during course months. age women ranged 18 more than 36 years. There were 51 who belonged group 18-24 years, 32 25-35 year range 49 older 35 Results: Standard deviation p value calculated results statistically significant. 8 nulliparous, primipara 31 58 multipara. 5 included grand multipara group. 42 urban area 60 lived rural area. Most 52 had primary level education, however 24 higher secondary education 56 working women. Conclusion: acceptance rate only 9% vaginal birth patients. use LARC could be easy cost effective way.
